Want to check something with people whose HDMI monitors are better than
mine! :-)
IIUC You need to do a screen mode change to 'force an update' after issuing
the 'hdmiaudOn' to be able to detect and use all the audio rates/modes the
screen can accept.
However here, changing screen mode makes no difference so far as my
!SoundCheck program is concerned. I'm not sure if this is because of
changes to the API, etc, which !SoundCheck misses, or simply that my
monitor doesn't do over 48k rate. So I'd be grateful if others could try
this and report.
Specifically: If you run !SoundCheck *after* the hdmiaudOn but *before* a
following change of screen mode, then run !SoundCheck again, does the
respor given differ? If so, how?
All being well, I aim sometime to extend !SoundCheck to be able to read
more info when HDMI Audio is active. And to document the HDMI Audio API,
etc, in an extended ROSS Document. Just need some more 'round tuits'. :-)
