No. I didn't re-install or un-install anything.
It may be that I did something wrong during/after my first power off /
power on cycle. I was tired at the time TBH.
Now I just need to run the hdmiaudOn file to switch the output to HDMI.
BTW anyone testing with !SoundCheck please note. Jeffrey decided that it
made sense to indentify the 'sound card' by name, not number. The
pre-existing sound calls, etc, assumed that any added 'mixers' or 'devices'
would be identified by number. So !SoundCheck will show the details change
when you switch on HDMI Audio, but the 'mixer number' remains the same.
In my case the change is obvious because the ARMX6 mainboard works up to
96k. But my monitor only accepts up to 48k, and only has one output
control.
I plan to do tests later today, but I expect the results to be limited by
my specific monitor. I probably need a much better one with spdif out to
really test the HDMI Audio to its limits...
