I have just received a Y adaptor so I can feeed the monitor and the TV

But if I turn the monitor off - the computer gives no signal to the TV!

So clearly the new software is being a bit too clever and detecting the
monitor is off! It's not a real problem, but I thought I should report
it.

Which of the two does the ARMX6 detect and report on? Does it matter which
output port the TV/monitor are connected to, or which is turned on first?

The 'Y splitter' presumable has to be active in some way, so may intervene
itself.
