I have just received a Y adaptor so I can feeed the monitor and the TV
HDMI in parallel.
But if I turn the monitor off - the computer gives no signal to the TV!
So clearly the new software is being a bit too clever and detecting the
monitor is off! It's not a real problem, but I thought I should report
it.
Which of the two does the ARMX6 detect and report on? Does it matter
which output port the TV/monitor are connected to, or which is turned on
first?
The 'Y splitter' presumable has to be active in some way, so may
intervene itself.
As I said - it's not a problem so I don't intend to investigate (partly
because of the effect - it's not easy to investigate with no display!).
And there may well be some assymetry.
Both devices are 1080p, so give identical modes.
The main point was - I cannot understand the logic of switching video off
when no display is detected! It seems a bit pointless - and there are
many HDMI adaptor leads which may well be used with monitors which don't
do the necessary.
