In a mad moment - Jeremy C B Nicoll mumbled : >> I also have a few Delete To: in my rule file, covering the odd To >> drobe, to Test, to BCF, etc. If these become a nuisance they will get >> 'Diverted' to the Blackhole as well. > > I don't understand how you differentiate between these that you delete > and genuine mails with those "To:" field values which you got because > they were BCCed to you. Luckily (or sadly) I don't get much genuine email, as I prefer the 'phone or handwritten communications. However the Brazilian addressees are just an ever increasing nuisance, because they have got onto the spammers lists, and I still get a few n Mb Br Gov and York Aircon emails that are being sent to the wrong address even after three years of my advising them (in two languages) so now all that stuff goes Blackhole and I don't even know they exist any more. So far there have been no instances of false deletes, but I do check my logfile carfully. Things I want and expect are collected by a well tune Accept: white list before any deletes (except for 'Open-Relay' marked stuff) What more can I say - It works foe me ! :)) Cheers! -- |) [ |)ryn [vans mail to - antispam@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.bryork.com/antispam - for annotated example Rules file
