Canada Goose, nest with 5 eggs, sitting female, male 100 ft away, very
protective, 8-10 other Canada's in area
Mallard, nest with 8 eggs, sitting female, male 200 ft away, 5+ other Mallards
in area
Blue-winged Teal, 3,- remember we had a rare Blue-winged Teal nest at the marsh
last spring
American Coot, 70+
Virginia Rail, 4+ on south end, did not check north end, where there were 3+ a
few days ago, getting more vocal and active
Common Snipe, 3
Tree and Rough-winged Swallows, and 1 Barn Swallow
Sedge Wren, 2
At home feeder Houston Lane
Red-breasted Nuthatch, 1, March 20 and 21
Purple Finch, 1 male and 2 females March 20, 2 males March 21
Pine Siskin, 1 or 2, 2 - 3 times per week
