South end of marsh (yesterday was north end)
Gadwall: 120+
Northern Shoveler: 30+
Blue-winged Teal: 1 male,
baby blue front wing and white face crescent clearly visible
Green-winged Teal: 20+
Wood Duck: 1 male, 1 female, first I have seen there since fall
Virginia Rail: 4 (probably not any of the 4 at the north end yesterday)
Common Snipe: 6 - 8, flushed, 1 or 2 at a time, from cattails
Ring-billed Gull: 6
Marsh Wren: 1
Addition to yesterday's post: 2 Ruby-crowned and 3 Golden-crowned Kinglets
also in the crown with the Blue-headed Vireo.
