Pied-billed Grebe, 1, chasing a Canada Goose!
AMERICAN BITTERN, 1, flushed while I was walking along
eastern boundary fence, 3/4 of the way from church to gravel road
Gadwall, 1
Mallard, 8, 1 female still incubating 12 eggs, first seen March 16,
so should hatch within the next 10 - 12 days
Blue-winged Teal, 8 - 10
American Coot, 10
KING RAIL ??, twice heard call or very good imitation by Virginia
Virginia Rail, 10 - 12+, vocal and inquisitive
Sora ??, twice heard call or very good imitation by Virginia
Barn, N. Rough-winged and Tree Swallows, about 50 in all
Sedge Wren ??, 3?, 3 times flushed similar bird, but too poor a view to call
Common Yellowthroat, 4 or more
Savannah Sparrow, 6 - 8
Swamp Sparrow, 10 - 12+
House Finch, 1m & 1f, uncommon on marsh
