Standifer Gap Marsh, Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN
March 25, 2005
Canada Goose, 2 nests with 5 eggs each, 1 with 6 eggs.

Blue-winged Teal, at least 6, pairing off

Red-tailed Hawk, 3, over the past year Red-tails appear to be replacing
Red-shouldered at the marsh.

Virginia Rail, 2 or more at north end, vocal. Mostly at the south end in the
grass and rushes over winter.

Marsh Wren, 1, north end along gravel road. I believe at least 1 Marsh Wren
and 2 Sedge Wrens have remained at the marsh over winter (sightings every month
September to March)

Home feeder (Ooltewah): Red-breasted Nuthatch (1), Purple Finch (2 each male
and female) and Pine Siskin (2 - 3) almost every day.
