I looked for some calcs on this I did before, it turned out it was like $20
month just to make sure you have fresh batteries.
And, if you use an HCX, be sure to use the pyro battery.
I suppose I should take some power measurements on the different
altimeters, I will once I get some time ...

Nice!

Sure, 9V Duracell is tip-top.

But ... wait until you throw out a 9V every month and then you'll realize
there are better options :-)

Personally I stick to 9V unless there are space restrictions. Sometimes
you need something smaller though:

9 Volt battery always worked fine

I've been using 180mah 3S 25~40C Lipos.

For the stratologger CF required protection of the FETs (i.e.,
short-circuit or 1 Ohm pyros), I use series 3 Ohm resistors on each output.

Lots of flights are possible.

Which battery are you using for your stratologger cf. I'm getting ready
to order a few batteries and I'm still on the fence. Appreciate your input.
