Gentlemen:
You may misunderstand me. I do not want to restore an old Dell
desktop but trash it. I did buy a cheap (in quality and price)
USB DVD drive. but that too is dead now. I believe most
computer stores no longer sell it. I will get another one.
As I tried to explain Dell sold me an old version of Internet
Explorer on CD but not the factory restore disk. There are two
CDs to the set I have that is menu driven. One should burn
the HDD without Windows installed.
That is all for now. Let's watch John quote these three
paragraphs.

Huh? I am so confused I thought you wanted to get the DVD player opened now
it sounds like you want to restore the computer. Sounds like a good hammer
and some strength would take care of this baby then give it the old heave
hoe! (Tongue in cheek!) Some things are just not worth this much trouble.
Excuse me I am going back to the original mail and see if I can make some
sense out of this.
