Not really. The Dems aren't part of the fight in Congress. And this isn't about the Latino vote. Those are not the issues at stake.


Business needs this because it affects their revenues. But if business wins, the small town racists may refuse to vote GOP in the upcoming mid-term elections. If the GOP loses control of the House, impeachment proceedings will start.

If the GOP loses control (and impeachment starts), business won't have a clear opportunity to win on this issue for two years (Bush will be tied up in court).

And who knows who will be the next president, or control the next Congress? So... this is the moment for business to win on this issue. It's being done now, in March, so the small-town small-minded voters forget about this issue by November.
