[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: GSD numbers in shelters

I have had a LHSH dog since last August...I was only supposed to
"pull"her ,but she decided to stay.....(smile) I can see why,from the
photos, she was thought to be a GSD....she is a bi-color, and her head
looks like a GSD,but seen in person,she is built squarely,more like a
Dobe and has the Dobie eyebrows. (and only half a tail,which the vet
feels is due to a mutated gene) Do I care? No. Was she worth saving?
Oh ,yes. Smart as a whip,and from the beginning tried SO hard to "be"
what she perceived I wanted her to be. Abby and I are very grateful she
was not dismissed with a "click",as not being "purebred enough". A
heartfelt thanks to LHSH for all the lives they have saved..... and for
their continued effort.
