I worked in animal shelters for about 10 years in the SF Bay area. Even in
Marin County - affluent, educated population who liked purebred animals, we
had only about 18% purebreds. I know as I kept the stats for years. In Santa
Clara county it was far, far less, and the same was true for Sonoma County.
I agree that anything we can do for any animals is good, but drop the anger.
It helps nobody.

a rescuer a smile, a hug and a few words of encouragement - costs nothing
andgoes a long way. sitting at a keyboard and spouting out misinformation
