Subject: [pure-silver] Cable Releases

I'm in the market for a new mechanical cable release. I see they come in three flavors-metal, vinyl, and cloth covered. What do you use? Are there advantages/disadvantages to the different materials?

They are all the same under the skin, i.e., all are woven metal but some have a plastic covering and some a cloth covering. Cloth is traditional and probably more flexible than plastic but plastic probably gives greater protection to the body of the release (maybe). You want a release that is flexible enough to isolate the camera. I have and use all three types and use them without preference.
