One thing nobody's mentioned: color. During a workshop in the '90s, Len Jenshel was
sporting a really nice orange one. I frankly doubt I'd even seen one that color. We
teased him about wasting good taste on the visuals of cable releases.

I've never seen a brightly coloured one other than the cheap blue one I had that broke. If I could get a brightly-coloured *good* one I probably would.

Interestingly, the replacement for that one lasted 2 weeks until I lost it, and it was black. The Nikon I have now has lasted 7 years, and was purchased to replace the lost replacement.
