The Eugene Wednesday birders went to Delta Ponds this morning. There was
lots of activity among the chickadees and woodpeckers and we saw about
15 Scaup, most Greater Scaup with a few that could be argued for Lesser
Scaup. The herons are building nests along Delta Highway, with at least
10 nests seen in several locations. A few Tree Swallows were first of
the year for many of us.
