at horseshoe road for an hour or so to chat about the proposed

good to hear about your availability prior to the meeting so that we
can find out which is the best time to hold the groups. Any other
input you want to provide in advance is most welcome.
My training has been in the use of an eight week programme using
secular meditation for stress reduction. It might be good to base our
meetings on this. The more we go off piste the further from the
evidence base we go but you might not mind. The groups can be weekly
for a couple of hours - I thought probably in two four-week blocks. We
could have taster sessions first if people are uncertain what to
expect. If there are still lots of people wanting to do this I might
need to find a venue or have two separate meetings. Happy to consider
different ideas.
As we are all pals, and some people have done the programme already, I
want it to have the tone of friends meeting together rather than a
therapeutic group - this would involve the more experienced people
chipping in a bit with leading some meditations etc if they wish and
less disclosure of personal material than might be the case in a more
formal setting. Happy to speak privately with anyone about this.
I have plenty of tea coffee biscuits beer and wine so don’t bring
anything with you to the meeting.
