I did what you said and renamed the normal.dot but upon trying to load the
disc it just played a bit of music and still wouldn't open. If there's
something major wrong here, should I abandon attempts to solve the problem
and put on the Compaq full restore disc and start off brand new again after
copying what I can on the CDRWs.? What do you think?(Its a wonder this
hasn't happened to other people - but maybe I shouldn't have removed Word
2000 and tried to find an answer beforehand!)Thanks, Bob.
