Not positive that that is the only extension you'll get from that
software, but I am sure that IN2 is ONE of the version types that
Computer Associates Inoculate creates. Sorry, don't know what else to
tell you or where to look. You should check with Computer Associates and
find out exactly how their software locks files.

The overall problem is that Word opens temp version of a file while you
work on it. As you save, updates are passed and when you close, the
final version is overwritten to the original. If those temp files aren't
closed, Word assume the doc is still opens and won't allow sharing. So
SOMETHING is holding those files SOMEWHERE.

And since CA Inoculate is notorious for this problem and since you use
this software...I can only put 2 + 2 together. However, since I've never
used that software...sorry, but I don't know how it works and where to
look, other can calling CA and asking them for help.

Good luck!

Hi Dian,
I did a search on the server for .IN2 files and found none. I also
looked in the AV software and checked the user permissions - it looks
like the users have full control. I'm not sure I understand what
setting to change in the AV software so it doesn't do this. But also
are you sure .IN2 is the correct extension? Thanks!
