If someone gave me a K2661, I don't know what I'd do with it at this point. I
mean, you can really program some cool sounds with it, but for sequencing? KDFX
seems so lame now. A four bus effects system that shares processing? Yes, I'll
take a mastering compressor on the main bus, a reverb one an aux bus, a delay
on another, oops, gotta use the cheap delay cause running low on processor
allocation units, and now a flanger for the...oops, out of processor. But I
haven't put compression on the drums or phaser on the rhodes yet! Urgh!

And, the thing is, that was pretty bomb for the mid 90's. We just used to
assume we wouldn't really be mixing on our workstation, other than levels and
pan, with maybe a touch of master reverb and chorus. Now, effects units are all
over the place, EQs are at every stage, from synth elements, to entire voices,
to aux buses, to a master EQ and multiband compressor. Can't go back.

I never said I am doing it right away. I have some nord keyboards I need to buy
for my endorsement. Anybody want to buy a Kurzweil k2661 or a nord rack
2 or a novation nova or a useaudio plugiator? They are all accessible. I won't
sell you the m3 or radias, because Korg sucks.

lol, you know it.
My only issue with the new motif is the cost of the memory. that's crazy!
too much money to do what the current one should have been doing. not enough of
an upgrade for the cost. I just don't think I will be doing it right away,
maybe later. I more than likely will own one though, because I have had all the
other ones before.
I must keep the legacy going.
