I think this means also that some band pass filtering will be needed on the 
transmit side (harmonics/spurs -43 dB down), and would also be desirable on the 
receive side.

This thread is all about working out the advantages of the KISS mixer with FETs 
and bias over a more normal diode ring mixer; or I think that's it - if I 
remember correctly that far back :-).
