the rumors about me and bobby magee
like so much in my life
before the cardboard sign
driving for the man
singing songs dylan sure could use now
are not true
but i do know this guy who was on the tour
and we were this close
in my latest painting
yes i'm back on that stuff again
i'm struggling with the "happy, happy trees"
problem is
i just don't know how Bob Green did
it
they say you can see him still
eyes moving like ducks up a wall
on the internet
but my connection just ain't up
to it
all i'm saying is
in this day and age
i'd love some of them happy happy trees
to guide me
through
the bush
