"West Nile"

To slow the virus until winter,
they sprayed parks to kill mosquitoes,
but spray killed the tufted titmouse
which feeds on insects like mosquitoes,
which means more mosquitoes next year,
which will force them to spray again.

To allow people to think freely,
they removed meaning and taboo,
but it killed passion and privacy,
which gave freedom vantage and scope,
which means there's less and less to say,
and more and more need for freedom.
