Hi,

So, "PackageManager" would be OK for me.

But managing packages would not be the job of that application. That's done by internal/invisible applications like the (existing) package daemon or (also existing) command line applications.

If I understand things correctly, there would be a graphical tool in which you

 * configure repositories (sources of packages)
 * explore/discover applications (and trigger their installation)
 * be notified of available updates (and trigger them)

So, very much like the "Mac App Store" program in MacOS or the "Ubuntu Software Center".

I still like "Haiku Market" best, very catchy. "Haiku Depot" isn't bad either, but doesn't convey the meaning as much, at least to me. "Software Depot" sounds nice as well. I feel if I saw that in the Deskbar I would immediately know what it's for. "Haiku Depot" might be slightly more cryptic the first time.

Best regards,
