Dave,

On a single node system, the NSAP addresses for all the stations (host, CPs,
etc) should be: "000001"
The command fist should report for the CP host, and any other online
stations: "I000001"

On a multi-node system, the NSAP addresses would be: "000101", "000102",
"000103",...
One number for each different node.
Command fist should report: "I000101", "I000102", "I000103", etc

My advise:
Go to /usr/fox/sp of the boot host and type:
   grep ADRNSP IIF.prm | sort +5

Column 6 will show the 'node' where the CP/AW/station (column 2) is supposed
to be.

Example (for a multi-node system):
3AWE01# grep ADRNSP IIF.prm |sort +5
2AP201 2AP201 OS3FS3 ADRNSP 001 000102 000000

Your CP will try to boot using the NSAP address of its Comex file
(/usr/fox/sp/files/CMXcplbug.BIN)
Use bpatch and verify if matches the one from IIF.prm in the boot host.

If either the host or the CP are in the wrong node, the CP will not boot.

(If 'fist' reports "000001" and not "I000001", use Russ advice to fix it).

I will use the line you sent:
  2005-09-15 12:00:05 (romload_srvr) -39 0 ( ) (Load terminated on
(CON451) - Wrong Node)
to update my troubleshooting guide.

Thanks

OK,

I think we're getting somewhere, but I don't understand how the problem
occurred or how to fix it.

Here is what the file /usr/fox/sysmgr/softmgr/smon_errs contains after
trying to boot the CP twice.

2005-09-15 12:00:05 (romload_srvr) -39 0 ( ) (Load terminated on (CON451)
- Wrong Node)
2005-09-15 12:02:50 (romload_srvr) -39 0 ( ) (Load terminated on (CON451)
- Wrong Node)

And here are the results from fist
Station Identifier Address (hex) Error description
-----------------------------------------------------
AP0451 000001 0003BACDA7F2

I'm reviewing the notes that Tom V. and Angel C. sent. But if the solution
is now obvious to you, it's certainly not to me.

Any help still appreciated.

Regards,
David Johnson
