I get that the first one is a paradox. The second one is only a paradox if time
is continuous.
If time in not continuous, then motion is an illusion made up of infinite
instances of non-motion.

I suppose it just comes down to which side of the debate you fall on. Since
most physics is time-reversal invariant, it shouldn't matter whether or not
time is continuous or whether it flows forward and motion exists. All fine,
unless you really love your second law of thermodynamics...

The first one produces a paradox when you try to perform calculations on limits
(same as Lumi's example).

Second produces a paradox because even though all the statements are true, the
reality is different.

That's not a paradox though, that's the question as to whether time is

Haha actually that wasn't one of Zeno's paradoxes. It's related to the
paradoxes of limits that Lumi posted though.
Zeno's paradox about motion went something like this:
If motion can be broken down into instances, and instances are durations where
no motion takes place and no time passes, how can motion take place at all?

Always "works" because infinity is undefined.
I like Zeno's paradoxes.
It always takes a finite amount of time greater than zero to move between any
two points.
There are an infinite number of points between any two points.
Therefore, it takes an infinite amount of time to move between two points
Therefore, motion is impossible.

Don't think he should be added to the mails yet, if he's actually serious about
fighters then cool. But we've seen too many examples of randoms being added and
then never seeing or hearing from them.
