What a marvelous birdy weekend!  We counted 47 species, not including the
Rusty or Brewer's Blackbirds that I posted the ID help request about.  I'm
leaning toward Brewers, but I'm not confident enough to call it (none of the
females showed a light eye).  I flushed four Wild Turkeys out of the edge of
the adjoining wheat field, on Friday afternoon.  These were only the second
ones we've ever counted here, which may be good because being startled like
that is probably not healthy!  We counted our FOS Barn Swallows yesterday
morning and, by the afternoon, there were at least four following Katie as
she cut the grass, collecting the bugs that were disturbed by the mower.
This morning I saw our FOS Northern Rough-winged Swallow, which sat on the
wire near the Tree Swallows.   I posted a fuzzy photo (link below) that was
good enough for an ID.  

We counted 6 sparrow species, though the Juncos appear to have left.

We now have a completed Bluebird nest in one box (no eggs yet) and a nearly
competed Tree Swallow nest in another.  Another Tree Swallow pair seems to
have claimed the third box, but is not building a nest yet.
