Brian,

You give us two options to choose from:

1 - You're deliberately obnoxious
2 - You don't know any better

We all make mistakes.  We all accept being corrected.  Nobody likes being 
called a failure, especially in such a manner.  Do you really believe your 
manner promotes goodwill and understanding?
