To update all parameters: Select button X with the shift key depressed.

(This assumes there is only one button X, although I am not quite sure from
your extract whether that is so, or whether there are multiple depressions
of different X's.).

Our workgroup uses Select - "select the shift key while clicking the =
button..."

I have seen both "hold" and "press". Press is more physically correct =
since you don't actually hold the key, you press it. Select avoids any =
physical connotations and gets around the issue of people who don't use =
the keyboard traditionally with their fingers - disabled users and the =
like.

My 2c worth.

Hi

Any suggestions for a sub to "pressing" in the below statement?

"Pressing the Shift key while clicking the button updates all =
parameters"

My colleagues use "hold".

Thanks & Regards
Nigel
