Is the answer to that question not that as long as we have Overdrive, we can't have Daisy?

Hi Carol,

She has answered that question to be fair, but not mine. My question is why
remove the Daisy files from downloads?

All the best

OK Derek,

She's gone as far as she is going to but still doesn't address my question
of the "**NEW**" books, whether there will be new ones in Daisy. However, I

am not taking this further on list.

Sorry, Louisa, I suggest your response is still hiding behind the
lines of
writing!

Please tell us, will there be ongoing new Daisy titles added to the
library
or not? Surely, my question is simple enough!

Carol P
**&NEW** Daisy books. You have left the information open to
interpretation
and from your message I still am not assured we will get new Daisy
books.

Hi Carol,

There is no change to the Talking Book Service and Talking Books
will
continue to be available in DAISY CD and USB stick. We are also
growing
the number of titles produced, which will also be available on RNIB
Overdrive.

Best, Louisa.

Louisa,

I appreciate you have responded to all queries but answered all
questions -
I don't think so. I am still not clear whether we will continue to
have
new
titles in Daisy format available.

I can take this to a public forum meeting if you wish, or you could
just
give me a straightforward and definitely factual answer here.

Thank you.

Hi Richard,

I responded to all queries yesterday. As I said before, we have a
lot of
users who are really enjoying the service. I quite appreciate that
this
service isn't for everybody and that is why we have DAISY CDs and
USB
sticks available to access the same catalogue but in a different
format.

If you are not happy with the service then please email me directly
and I
will arrange a refund for you, should this be required, if you
don't want
to receive the other formats available.

The forums are checked on a regular basis but please feel free to
email
me
or contact the Overdrive team (overdrive@xxxxxxxxxxx) and we will
be able
to respond to your query directly.

Many thanks,
Louisa.

What is so amazing to me is that, apart from Louisa's mails - which
haven't
properly addressed the dissatisfaction being expressed - RNIB has
failed
to
respond to the considerable degree of concern being expressed by a
group
of
technically very competent users on this list.

It seems to me that RNIB has taken a decision without taking into
consideration the views of its service users - as expressed on this

list -
and it has certainly not responded to the criticism of the
arrangements
which it has made.

Louisa, could you or someone else within the organisation please
oblige?
