If you could post the link where you read that info, it would be very helpful. XP is a 12 year old end of life unsupported operating system, officially "do not use". IE8 is a 5 year old, non standards compliant browser which you choose to use despite there being a wide selection of modern secure standards compliant browsers downloadable in under a minute. There may be reasons you choose to do these things despite putting yourself at great risk (I REALLY hope you don't do online banking on that laptop!) but you can hardly blame Sendspace. All of that said, I've just switched into emulating IE8 on XP and it still worked fine. I've not found anything to support what Whizza says, but I'm sure when he posts the link we'll know the reason. What is possibly more likely is that there's some kind of dodgy plugin or redirecting malware which has redirected your request to what looks like a spam-laden copy of a Google page, from what I can see from the text. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
