I would be it is a strong hold on the consumer. Althought I did have a workhorse HP that I loved--it finally died but before it did it refused to take the generic color ink --the refill as it were. I HAD to get the brand cartridge or no printy.. I use an HP all in one and use generic..except when I HAVE to buy brand cause the generic is out of stock.. I have used printer for photos and noticed the color faded but whether it was generic or brand I wouldn't know. But I don't do many photos so it really doesn't matter. ----- Original Message ----- From: "~OoO~" <sirtroth@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 7:09 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Inkjet cartridges Good point... and, which I'm sure you already know but I state here for = anyone not knowing, most printer warranties will not cover you for = damage caused by bad third-party inks.
