You are confusing the formats:
FASTA + FASTA quality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FASTA_format)
versus
FASTQ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FASTQ_format )
As the story unravels and the puzzle comes together from the bits and pieces of
your mails, it seems that you tried all the time to load a FASTQ file as FASTA
quality file. This obviously cannot work.
Now, please follow step by step the advice Lionel just gave you in his last
mail and things should be running smoothly.
