[macvoiceover] Re: Urgent help needed - getting VO to speak when booting from USB flash drive?

Hey Ricardo! Once again you've solved my problem! When you mentioned wearing
headphones in your previous email, I thought I'd give it a try with headphones!
I was pretty skeptical that this would make a difference, so, imagine my
surprise when I booted to my SD card, pressed command f5 and heard the sweet
sound of VO!! I am assuming I have some sort of hardware issue going on with
my iMac. I haven't yet tested it out, but, I'm sure that this is the same
issue I am having with not having VO come on at the login screen. I am going
to try it without headphones, and, if I get no speech at login, I'll try it
with headphones.

And, just one other thing to thank you for Ricardo… the last time I was
re-installing my OS, you had suggested using IMAP so that I wouldn't have to
backup email messages. I recently moved to GMail using IMAP, and, it's a
beautiful thing! After clean installing Mountain Lion this morning, I set up
my GMail account, and, magically, there were all my messages, nicely sorted in
the folders I had previously created! Sweet, sweet, sweet!

My iMac is now running like a new machine! It's a happy day! :)
