Interesting. AB's came out of the question of Bunker Ramo (sp ?>) located in 
cleaved that was in CNC biz. They had a product called the PMC Programmable 
Matrix Controller. Programed using Boolean. I may still have a brochure (no 
comments about being around when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, please).

I think that there were two engineers working for Foxboro who came up with the 
idea of a programmable logic controller and left to form Modicon.
