Hi Jackie,
my Perkins?  It's now 42 years of
age and as good as new.

The Perkins is slightly different though - as it's mechanical. But yes, those 
machines were definitely built to last. Mine is nearly twenty years old and 
apart from a slight twisted backspace key - don't know what the real name for 
it is it still works fine. . I wonder if the newish ones that the RNIB are 
selling are as good?
