Yes, it is 6*4.5, it's in "portrait" mode all the time..;-)...some people find 
it akward, beeing used to 35 mm "landscape" mode of viewing, I have no problems 
with it, I usually shoot "portrait" mode, the camera is a bit akward when 
handeling in the "landscape" mode, but I got used to it quite quickly..
