That's true... which begs the question, why would you want to hide your own
name on email you're sending?

And THEN you gotta be aware that if someone doens't know your phony addy 
that mail just might end up in the junk pile. Depending on how filters may 
be set up.

Well... you can't hide it, but nothing says you can't lie about it. Just put
a bogus email address as the FROM address in your client.

I have discovered that I can send my emails ALL in BCC and so no one can get
the addy's of friends if someone forwards  but is there a way to protect MY
Name from going out?  Seems like I might have seen that somewhere but can't
recall how they did it or where I saw it, does anyone know about this?
