I agree with Anne, Glenda...the filter method both she and I suggested would work really easily. And, I'm not sure what you mean when you say you don't want to use it cuz the person who inherits it won't be able to do it...can you explain that? Why would the person who inherits it find it easier to clear your field code than to clear the filter? Filters in Word Mail Merges are very similar to AutoFilters in Excel...you just turn them on and off. Linda F.
