when orders come or errors drop you in the shit
there may be very little that anyone can do about it
we are like a herd from which a victim's picked
but people sometimes do choose to be good or nice or kind
and this is treasure
to be bundled up in small chests
against times of stress
in this view history is about hope
as well as the this-ness of things
