But that's the irony of it all: the NYT was a key supporter of the WMD fabrication. It's solidly pro-war pro-Bush.

A liberal paper? Moderate? Conservative? It's ultra-right.

As for the WSJ... oh, dear.

This will be a very interesting week.

Yes...It takes an incredible amount of courage to admit mistakes.

I know even few people who can do that.

And, what paper is left if the NY Times disappears?
Granted, most people (esp conservative) think of the NY Times as awfully
liberal.  Most of them would be totally thrilled to see the NY Times  
disappeared
(they think of the liberal press as totally corrupt anyway and since  success
is equated to moral ability--they'd just say 'there you go')

Who would be left for the liberal-oriented? Or even the moderates or
balanced?

The Wall Street Journal?
