Not really, although it's not beyond me.
If there was an Irish link (allege is exactly the right word), if there was,
it was at least five generations back during the Potato Famine. The
alternative history is that the Wards of Suffolk served in Nelson's Navy.
Depending on the circumstances, I choose to allege either strand.
Still, five generations does make me verifiably English, even if I do prefer
being British.
How about you Judy? British, Welsh or Silurian?
