Only a comment on another forum from someone who has handled a prototype. It

Without live view or a real focussing viewfinder of some sort, focussing an R
lens on an M camera is hit/miss. Also- M cameras up to this point have no
communication from camera to lens, i.e., the camera can't tell the lens to stop
down, so the lens is at working aperture. Can make ground-glass or live-view
focussing slower and less accurate.
Existing R-to-M adapters will allow infinity focus.
