Sam and I are actually planning to come out there in the near
future(when seats are available) to check out Doug's exhibit. It
should be a little easier now that Midwest and Frontier Airlines
belong to the same parent company. Poor wifey is gonna get another
phone calll from me telling her to "pack we got seats in three hours"

just trying to keep the humor truck rolling with a riff on your
STOL joke. The video link to the hard landing was uber cool. Used
to be a huge aviation buff in my teens and young adulthood - it was
indirectly how I got into photography in the first place. I bought
a minolta srt second hand to shoot pictures of static displays and
airshows to make drawings from, but found out I was a LOT better at
photography than drawing!

I agree nothing is impossible with a smart engineer and some money--
add a demand factor and it will happen--the big question is when
and how much $25,000 for a camera is just a wee bit over my
budget(SWMBO would wring my neck and then start removing vital parts)
By the way we just witnessed the A380 take off in under 2000 ft of
runway. Didn't realize the damn thing was a STOL craft!!
