OOH OOH OOOH
Can I answer?

carrying and operating an engineering contraption such as that while shooting
action, butterflies, animals in motion, people in motion just doesn't quite
work the same as pulling an slr up to the eye!

Also live view focusing is notoriously laggardly!

If it had live view, and you could view the screen through a
view finder, and focus confirm worked at working aperture, I
don't see that as being scary. Without a mirror there
shouldn't be any shutter delay.
   What am I missing?
