It's very annoying using a windows app where someone has redesigned the save, new, etc icons and they're almost unrecognisable without a tooltip. A good set of standard icons that fit with the mood of the rest of the icon set would be great, and would certainly help out any app developers with no artistic skills :) Maybe one of the preview icons could also be in 8 bit (first boot without a supported video card should not look too horrible :)) - stippi, maybe the renderer could again be intelligent about this (avoiding attempting to render slight gradients or something?) I love the LOD filter as shown in the stippi's display preferences icon...very cool.
