I think the sound you heard was coming from the computer, not from the Book Port. There's no way that a sound file on the Book Port could play over your computer unless you run a connection from the Book Port's headphone jack to the line in jack of your computer's sound card. Do you have any other USB devices such as an external drive, thumb drive, etc., connected to your computer? This might interfere with the ability of Windows to properly connect.
