We counted 48 species again this weekend.  We counted 51 on this July weekend
last year, but haven’t passed 48, since the first weekend in June, this year.
The highlights were a good look at a really nice male Orchard Oriole, yesterday
morning, and a Warbling Vireo singing quietly, as it fed in the trees near the
porch, this morning.
After a boisterous and plentiful few weeks, the Martins were suddenly missing
this weekend.  I’d given up on them, but then saw a single bird this morning.
