We counted 53 species at the house, this weekend.  That is equal to our
highest count of any weekend in 2015 and three more than our best-ever for
this April weekend.  I only counted one Warbler, though I glimpsed at least
one other, and a Vireo, that I was unable to identify.  We counted five FOS,
including a Green Heron (we've only seen one here before), Chimney Swift,
Eastern Kingbird, Orchard & Baltimore Orioles and Indigo Bunting.  The
Harrier was a surprise and definitely was heading north.  I got great looks
at Field, Savannah and a very cooperative Swamp Sparrow, to make a
seven-Sparrow weekend.  I would love to have added another Warbler or two,
but my family reminds me that I shouldn't be greedy J.  

I posted a photo to Flickr of a Chickadee that was napping on in the deck,
in the late afternoon sun.  The Cooper's Hawk was around and this probably
felt secure.  I also posted a photo of a Black Vulture that was perched
across the road today.one of many that were soaring over the woodlot
earlier.  A face only a Vulture mom could love?
